Ingredients

Quantities are for the whole recipe.

  • 100 g tuna in brine, drained
  • 100 g canned white beans, drained and rinsed
  • 150 g tomato
  • 100 g cucumber
  • 40 g wholemeal bread, before toasting
  • 5 g olive oil
  • 15 g lemon juice
  • 3 g fresh parsley

Pepper and salt as needed.

Method

  1. Drain the tuna. Rinse and drain the beans, then weigh the stated quantities. Wash and chop the tomato and cucumber.
  2. Combine beans, tuna and vegetables. Add oil, lemon juice and chopped parsley, then toss gently.
  3. Taste before adding salt, as canned foods can already be salty. Serve with the measured slice of bread.

Allergens and labels: Fish, wheat (gluten).

Values are estimates per serving for the listed ingredients, including oil and any listed bread. Meat, rice and potatoes are weighed before cooking; cooked and drained foods are labelled explicitly. Products and moisture loss during cooking can affect the result. Pinches of seasoning and optional substitutions are not included. The cheese reference is reduced-fat cottage cheese. This is a meal idea, not a universal daily plan.
